Requirements: Redesign and develop new landing pages for DICK'S Sporting Goods Grand Opening events. Create a way for project stakeholders to easily edit or make additions to the pages.

Process: I met with various groups within the company to prioritize event content for the new pages. I wireframed the page, and upon approval created a final design and did the front-end development. I then created a Ruby on Rails application for project stakeholders to use in order to quickly and easily make edits to the pages. You can see a demo of one of the pages here. Header & footer were provided by GSI Commerce. I am also happy to demo the CMS in person.

Requirements: The FedEx-Kinkos system that we were currently using to create high-res PDF files for in-store signage wasn't quite working the way we wanted it to. Build a better system.

Process: I was tasked with designing and creating the system. The goal was clear - our system had to match the design of the in-store sign exactly. The Kinkos form was skewing the alignment and text in the template we created, which was the main reason we needed an alternate solution. In the end, we had a system that could generate 27.8 x 19.7 inch PDF files at 100dpi. Other features included: Ability to email PDF from within app, user logins to separate PDF's by store location, and admin/basic user logins to separate functionality such as ability to create and edit store and user information.

Requirements: Create an application to be used by all groups within marketing to improve the current process of requesting, tracking, and managing digital media projects.

Process: I met with various groups in marketing to discuss the issues we faced in our current analog process for managing digital media projects. Once we mapped out our goals, I then turned the goals into wireframes and user stories to hand off to our vendor Carney+Co to develop the app. I worked closely with our vendor to test and bug track the application.

I started working with AJENT in August 2012 as a freelance project creating the visual design and UI of the website. Soon after I officially joined as a part-time venture with a stronger role in planning the website, front and back-end development, and working closely with our Founder to plan new features, create user stories, track/fix bugs, and QA test. I also design, develop, and send our weekly newsletters. Using AWS for asset storage and ActiveAdmin for our CMS. The current site is up but no longer maintained as we are currently developing an updated look. You can see a preview of the update here.

Some Older Things I Worked On

Grand Opening responsive newsletter

Responsive newsletter for DICK'S Grand Openings (2012). Demo here.

Old tommywhoops website

Old site I started that didn't showcase my work as well as I liked, so I reworked it into to the site you're currently viewing. A good mobile-first demo though.

Umbro Flash Shop

Flash AS3 animation for UMBRO shop (2010). Still live on-site here.
